NOTAM/TFR During Performances

Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFR) During Aerobatic Performances this year, we will implement a Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) during aerobatic performances to ensure the safety of our performers and attendees.
Waivered Airspace:
  • Coverage: 5 miles and up to 4,000 feet.
  • Activation: Once the waiver is active, a final call will be made for aircraft over CTAF. If an aircraft is close, we will coordinate with them. If there is no response, the airspace will be officially closed.
Important Notes:
  • No Arrivals or Departures: During the TFR, there will be no arrivals or departures until the show concludes.
  • Safety Measure: This protocol has been established to prevent rogue flyovers and ensure the safety of our performers.
Please plan your flights accordingly to accommodate these restrictions.

DEpartures

No departures will be allowed once the airport has been closed until the show is over.
As soon as the show is over, there will be a long line for departures. Please be courteous and keep your head on a swivel. If you need assistance, marshallers will be around to lend a hand. Please be patient and again, keep radio calls to a minimum.

Aircraft rides will resume once the TFR is lifted. If you plan on staying around the area, we ask that you remain vigilant when flying near the airport as many rides will be sight seeing tours around Madison, Indiana.
