THIS IS AN OPTIONAL CONTRACT

Land Management Contract Opportunity: 2025-2027 Term

The Madison Regional Airport Board of Aviation Commissioners is excited to offer a new option for the 2025-2027 term: an Optional Land Management Contract. This opportunity allows one entity to manage all aspects of mowing, weed spraying, and farming operations at the airport.

While bidders can choose to submit proposals for individual contracts (mowing, weed spraying, or farming), any Land Management Contract will be compared to individual contract submittals. The airport will weigh all options to ensure the best overall outcome for the airport.

Scope of Work Includes:

  • Mowing: Managing 75-80 acres, including runways, taxiways, signage, and perimeter fencing.
  • Weed Control: Herbicide application to maintain clear, vegetation-free areas around critical airport infrastructure.
  • Farming: Cultivating approximately 204 acres, focused on soybeans and hay, with attention to drainage and crop yield optimization.

Why Submit a Comprehensive Proposal?

A single Land Management Contract offers an efficient solution for maintaining the airport grounds while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. This is a unique opportunity to take charge of all land management operations at Madison Regional Airport under one contract, delivering seamless coordination across all areas of responsibility.

Submission Guidelines:

Interested bidders should submit a business plan detailing:
  1. Executive Summary: Company overview and qualifications.
  2. Scope of Work: Detailed approach to managing mowing, weed control, and farming operations.
  3. Equipment and Resources: Description of equipment and any subcontractors.
  4. Safety and Staffing: FAA safety compliance and staff training protocols.
  5. Budget Proposal: Pricing structure for each service.
  6. References: Previous project experience and client references.

Interested parties may submit BUSINESS PLANS to the address below, by no later than 5:00 PM on November 20, 2024:
