2026 madison air show canceled
Madison Airport Events, Inc. has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2026 Madison Air Show.
This decision is the result of the uncertainty surrounding the Madison Regional Airport runway rehabilitation project. While the FAA grant has not yet been officially released and construction has not been formally scheduled, there is a strong possibility that the project could take place during the same timeframe as the air show.
When construction begins, the airport's primary and only runway will be closed for approximately two months. During that time, the airport will not be able to accommodate fixed wing aircraft operations, making it impossible to host an air show.
Rather than ask performers, sponsors, vendors, volunteers, and attendees to make plans only to potentially cancel the event at the last minute, we believe making this decision now is the most responsible course of action for everyone involved.
If the runway project is ultimately delayed until 2027, it will not impact next year's air show. Making this announcement now allows us to begin planning for an outstanding return in 2027 on a newly rehabilitated runway while providing certainty for everyone who supports this event.

The 2025 madison air show will have two off-site parking areas with complimentary shuttle service.handicap parking will be at the airport only. it is a first come, first serve basis.

River valley community church will be the first priority parking location.
once it is full, traffic will be sent to madison assembly of god.
shuttle services will run to both parking lots on an as needed basis.

Handicap Parking Only at the Airport. Shuttles will drop you off at the Main gate from our Off-Site Parking Locations. Shuttles will not transport wheel chairs.
As the map above shows, we will only allow Handicap Parking along the main entrance road of the airport.

Please see Off-Site Parking Locations for General Parking. We will have 4 shuttles running to bring you to the show and drop you off at the main gate. Shuttles will run the entire duration of the show and you can leave at any time.
THERE IS NO PARKING ON BORCHERDING LANE or long way drive.
POLICE WILL BE ENFORCING AND VIOLATORS WILL BE TOWED!

HANDICAP PARKING ONLY AT THE AIRPORT. WE HAVE LIMITED SPACE SO IF THE HANDICAP SPOTS FILL, PLEASE PLAN ON A DROP OFF. WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO ACCOMMODATE.

We will be providing 4 shuttle transports to the airport courtesy of Southwestern Schools.
The pick-up location will be at: Primary River Valley Community Church 2535 Clifty Drive, Madison, IN 47250 Shuttles will run from 10am until 6:30pm on an as-needed basis. |
